Raising awareness of mental illness affecting children and young adults in the Cayman Islands
About
The Alex Panton Foundation is a non-profit organisation working to raise awareness of mental illnesses affecting children and young adults, and to provide hope and resources to their friends, family, teachers, classmates and carers. Its work includes an emotional literacy programme for children aged 5 to 12, a Youth Ambassador Programme built around awareness, advocacy and support, and peer-based support for teens and young adults. The Foundation also runs a confidential, anonymous helpline chat service staffed by trained volunteers, alongside the #InsureOurMinds campaign calling for comprehensive mental health insurance coverage.
