The governing body for freediving in the Cayman Islands, sanctioning competition and promoting apnea safety
About
The Cayman Freediving Association (CFA) represents freediving in the Cayman Islands and is an Observer Member of the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA). It sanctions all competitive freediving in the islands, recognises Cayman Islands National Records, and selects and fields the national freediving team for international events. The CFA also advocates for safety across all forms of freediving and breath-hold activity, with a stated goal of zero apnea accidents. It has announced a partnership with Performance Freediving International, through which it has hosted Cayman's first Open National Championship alongside the Deja Blue coaching camp and competition.
