About

The Cayman Islands Insurance Association (CIIA) was formed in 2004 to bring together the various associations representing the local insurance industry into one body that can advise the public on insurance issues and speak with a single voice in discussions with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. It works through standing committees covering general, health and life insurance, and unites member agents, brokers and companies around standards of service, ethics, transparency and good practice. The Association focuses on education and professional development for members and publishes articles, resources and training courses, including anti-money laundering and Chartered Insurance Institute examinations. It also worked with CIMA to develop Codes of Conduct setting out the rights of the insuring public and the standards expected of members.
