About

The Cayman Islands Veterans Association (CIVA) is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation that aims to ensure every ex-serviceman or woman in the Cayman Islands has someone to turn to for help. Membership is open to all past serving members of the military forces, or merchant naval forces in war zones, of any Commonwealth or allied country, and brings together veterans of all ages and backgrounds. CIVA runs the annual Poppy Appeal, organises Remembrance ceremonies in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, and holds a question-and-answer project for schools with a mahogany shield awarded to the winning school. The association is a member of the Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League and has close ties with the Royal Canadian Legion.
