The Pines Retirement Home is a non-profit charitable organisation providing residential accommodation for elderly people in the Cayman Islands, originally for independent seniors in retirement. Over time its emphasis has moved towards nursing care in response to community needs and the higher care requirements of many residents. Services include 24-hour residential and respite care with three meals a day and snacks, day care for seniors who live independently or with family but need daytime support, and assisted living care in one- and two-bedroom villas for those needing less supervision. The home has also offered a 10-week Home Care Aide course to members of the public aged 16 and over, taught by licensed nurses and managers.
